This replica Infantry Whistle is the same style and has all the same markings as the whistles that were issued and used at the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
The whistle is produced by Hudson Whistles who produced the Trench Whistles for the British Army during The First World War. They were designed to have the loudest possible tone and complete consistency of performance under all conditions.
Each whistle is made in the Hudson Whistles factory in Birmingham, UK. The factory still continues with the tradition that was started by founder Joseph Hudson of blowing each whistle before it leaves the factory.
