A very special lapel pin commissioned for D-Day to commemorate the historic occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings which took place on 6 June 1944. What makes this extra special is the way that the poppy pin itself is made. At the very heart of each enamel Poppy is sand collected by hand from Arromanches, part of the Gold Beach landing area. This lapel pin is rhodium plated for longevity and to create a silver coloured trim to the red enamel poppy head, green enamel leaf and black enamel centrepiece, made with sand from the beaches. This poppy pin is a classic choice for a time of Remembrance. This anniversary pin comes in a D-Day 75 box presented with a commemorative certificate, each one dedicated to service personnel who died during The Battle of Normandy.
