In the spring of 1915, whilst stationed in Ypres, a Canadian doctor, Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae wrote his now famous poem, In Flanders Fields, shortly after losing a friend there. The sight of the poppies growing in the battle-scarred fields inspired him and because of this, the poppy will forever be a symbol of Remembrance and hope. It is also now seen as a symbol of hope for a positive future, and a peaceful world. They have become a show of support for the Armed Forces community, those currently serving, ex-serving personnel and their families, and a symbol of Remembrance for all those who have fallen in conflict.

This Flanders Field Poppy with Stem & Leaf Brooch is a beautifully detailed tribute to the enduring symbol of Remembrance.

Featuring rich red enamel petals with a subtle radiating texture and a contrasting black centre, the design captures the natural form of the poppy with elegance and depth. A gently curved gold-tone stem and vibrant green leaf complete the piece, creating a graceful silhouette that feels both classic and contemporary.

Thoughtfully designed to honour the legacy of Flanders Field, this brooch offers a dignified way to reflect and remember. Whether chosen as a personal symbol of respect or as a meaningful gift, this brooch serves as a lasting reminder of sacrifice and resilience.

All profits from your purchase will go towards the Royal British Legion's work in supporting the Armed Forces community.
